How do I split an expense?
Create a divvy, snap a photo of the receipt or enter the total manually, then choose how to split — equal, custom amounts, or itemized. Divvy handles the math.
How do I invite friends?
Tap the invite button on any trip, ledger, or divvy to generate a share link. Your friends can join by opening the link or entering the 6-character code in the app.
How do settlements work?
When you’re ready to settle up, Divvy calculates the simplest set of payments to square everyone up. Tap settle and send payment through your preferred app — Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, or whatever you use.
Is my financial data safe?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use row-level security so you can only ever see data you’re a part of. We never sell your data.
Can I use Divvy without an account?
You need an account to create and manage expenses, but anyone can view a shared invite link to see what they’re joining before signing up.
How do I delete my account?
Go to your profile in the app and tap "Delete Account". This permanently removes your data. You can also email us and we’ll handle it within 48 hours.
